Until the students graduate from the program, they will acquire the following knowledge, skills, and behaviors:
- Having theoretical and practical knowledge about the chemical, physical, and biological characteristics of freshwater and saltwater environments used for diving.
- Understanding diving systems and having the ability to use these systems underwater.
- Having theoretical knowledge about diving accidents, diseases, and treatments, and being able to use pressure chambers used in the treatment of diving accidents and diseases.
- Possessing knowledge of maritime and maritime-related matters and being able to apply this knowledge.
- Having the ability to use all kinds of tools and equipment in underwater work, as well as theoretical knowledge about explosive materials.
- Being able to use underwater imaging devices, interpret the obtained images using computer technology.
- Having the ability to work in underwater constructions, aquaculture cage systems, underwater archaeological excavations, pipeline installations, and ship bottoms.
- Finding solutions to unforeseen problems encountered underwater and taking responsibility.
- Being able to comprehend, apply, and keep up with new techniques, applications, and technologies related to the profession based on acquired knowledge and skills.
- Being able to serve as a dive supervisor using diving techniques and safety knowledge.
- Being able to communicate thoughts and problems related to the profession in written and verbal form, as well as using a foreign language.
- Having awareness of professional regulations and ethics.
