Shipbuilding - About

The Shipbuilding Program is an associate degree program designed for students who wish to specialize in the maritime sector and gain knowledge and skills in ship design, structural analysis, construction, and maintenance. This program aims to train qualified intermediate personnel in the fields of shipbuilding and ship design.

Within the scope of the Shipbuilding Program, students are provided with fundamental theoretical knowledge and practical skills about all aspects of ship construction. These skills include topics such as ship design and drafting, ship structures and materials, hydrodynamics and resistance analysis, ship stability and load calculations, ship machinery and power systems, as well as techniques and methods used in ship construction. Additionally, students receive basic-level education on ship maintenance and repair, as well as regulations and standards related to the maritime industry.

The curriculum of the Shipbuilding Program aims to impart theoretical knowledge in classroom lessons and practical experiences through laboratory work and project-based assignments. This approach helps develop students' abilities to solve real-world problems they will encounter in the field of ship construction.
